Privacy Policy

AretéLog ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our trading journal platform at aretelog.app.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide (display name, trading style, goals). This is stored securely in Supabase.
Trade data.All journal entries, trade logs, P&L records, notes, and performance metrics you enter are stored in your personal Supabase database partition. Your trading data is private to your account.
Screenshots and attachments. If you upload chart screenshots or images to journal entries, these are stored in Supabase Storage under your user namespace and are not accessible to other users.
Usage data. We may collect anonymized usage information (feature interactions, error logs) to improve the product. This data is not linked to your identity.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the AretéLog service
- Generate AI-powered trade analysis and weekly recaps
- Process subscription payments via Stripe
- Send transactional emails (e.g. receipts, account notices)
- Improve the accuracy and features of the platform
3. Data Storage — Supabase
All user data is stored using Supabase, which is hosted on infrastructure compliant with SOC 2 Type II. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
4. Payments — Stripe
Payment processing is handled exclusively by Stripe. We never store your full card details. Stripe may retain billing information as required by financial regulations. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
5. We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or trading data to any third party, ever. Your journal is private.
6. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data and trade records within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data. You may also object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@aretelog.app.
8. Cookies
We use session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
9. Children's Privacy
AretéLog is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
